Michel often performs in Rotterdam. In the well-known port city, for instance, he gave a magic performance during an installation company’s Saint Nicholas party and worked at the congress of a professional association for physiotherapists. The latter was a so-called quality conference at Van der Valk Rotterdam-Blijdorp. On the occasion of the wedding dinner of a brand-new bride and groom, Michel performed magic in the Balszaal of hotel New York. At the invitation of Krüger & Partners, now known simply as Kruger, illusionist Rotterdam was allowed to show his skills as part of a Christmas lunch at a restaurant on Katendrecht. For the same company, Michel made the impossible possible in honour of an anniversary party at museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. He worked with Ma Guise Catering and Maitre Frederic during a number of exclusive parties in the Rotterdam region. At a 20th wedding anniversary party, Michel was allowed to perform table magic at the Fenix Food Factory, near theatre Walhalla. He acted as presenter and quizmaster during the members’ evening of watch manufacturer Swatch. That evening took place at the Beurstraverse, also known as the Koopgoot. Commissioned by B4IT, a business club of Dutch directors and private investors in the ICT sector, mentalist Michel gave a performance in restaurant Parkheuvel. That Rotterdam establishment has been awarded two Michelin stars. During the international horse competition Concours Hippique International Officiel (CHIO), where Princess Beatrix was also a guest, Michel gave an intimate magic show for relations of law firm NautaDutilh. He collaborated with the Oyster King at that event. For the members of a bowling club, this magician performed a tailor-made show at a society near the Kralingse Bos. In a synagogue, he performed magic for Rotterdam’s Jewish community. The same audience was enchanted by Michel in corona time during an online magic show. As part of a congress of the Transport Dangerous Goods Committee (CTGG), he performed his stage act in Hal4 alongside the river Maas. On a sun-drenched Sunday afternoon, this magician walked past the tables on The Harbour Club’s terrace to amaze attendees with his magic tricks. So the “just culinary dining at the Harbour” (Chivv featuring Lil’ Kleine and Frsh – Je kent ‘t wel) got a magical touch. For Port of Rotterdam, he gave a show and workshop as a departmental activity. The company outing took place at Dudok in ‘Rotjeknor’. This table magician opened his box of tricks several times at Koninklijke Roei- en Zeilvereeniging De Maas (KR&ZW de Maas), including during a Friday afternoon drink. Together with fellow magician Janse Heijn, Michel presented a tailor-made programme on the occasion of a LyondellBasell safety day. The event took place in Rotterdam-Botlek and Rotterdam-Maasvlakte. On the Spido, a Rotterdam ship, this magician provided magic entertainment during a members’ meeting, a relation event of Rabobank. For the same bank, magician Rotterdam performed ‘hocus pocus’ as part of a Christmas event in the Hulstkamp building on Noordereiland. This national monument, located on the Maaskade, is familiar territory for nearby resident female magician Sylvia Schuyer. This illusionist, daughter of magician Eddy Schuyer (1913-1999), is known from the television programme of the Flemish girl group K3 and performed annually in the spotlight as ringmaster of the Christmas circus in Ahoy. Commissioned by ING, Van Zeist conjured numerous times in football stadiums, including the Kuip, Feyenoord’s stadium. Michel worked with Rotterdam footballer Soufiane Touzani and his team, including at theatre Zuidplein. Just before the outbreak of the corona pandemic in the Netherlands, in March 2020, this professional magician performed a magic dinner show in a café-restaurant in the Delfshaven district, on the south side of the Coolhaven. Michel was booked several times through MEB Rotterdam, a South Holland events and artist agency that operates nationally. Magician Rotterdam sought the higher ground when he got to perform his table magic on the roof terrace of a huge building on the Schiekade to a group of exuberant spectators. With similar enthusiasm, this mind reader was welcomed by the employees of an ICT company from ‘Roffa’, which held its corporate weekend in the middle of the country. For BP, he enchanted an international company in a modern hotel on the Kop van Zuid. At Lake House Rotterdam, Michel passed the tables with his tricks, only to repeat it a few weeks later for the same client, a shipping company from Maassluis, at the RDM Kantine.
